The Novi Community School District has grown from a rural township school system — one that didn't even have its own high school until 1966 — into one of the most recognized public school districts in the state, rated No. 1 in Michigan by Niche three years running and home to multiple National Blue Ribbon schools. Its graduates include a CNN chief medical correspondent, Olympic athletes, professional hockey and baseball players, state legislators, Emmy winners, and Forbes 30 Under 30 honorees.

 

That trajectory didn't happen by accident. It happened because generations of families, educators, and community members invested in something bigger than themselves. The NCSD Alumni Association exists to honor that legacy and keep it working.

 

Our Relationship with NEF

 

The Alumni Association operates as a program of the Novi Educational Foundation (NEF), the district's nonprofit partner dedicated to enriching the educational experience of every student through grants, scholarships, and innovative programs that go beyond what public funding can provide. For more than three decades, NEF has been funding educator grants, new-teacher startup support, professional development fellowships, the Educator of the Year awards, and student enrichment programs from kindergarten through senior year. When you support the Alumni Association, you're supporting NEF's mission — and every dollar flows directly back to the classrooms and students of Novi.

What We Do

Connect — We help alumni find each other and stay linked to the district through events, class reunions, a searchable alumni directory, and regular communications about what's happening in Novi schools today.

Preserve — We're building a living history of the Novi Community School District: collecting oral histories, archiving yearbooks and memorabilia, and documenting the milestones, traditions, and people that made this district what it is.

Invest — Through NEF, alumni contributions fund educator grants, student scholarships, professional development fellowships, and the programs that keep Novi schools excellent and equitable for every kid who walks through the door.
